My So Called Crazy Life

Life as a mom of 2 beautiful children is definetly busy. I hardly have anytime to just sit and relax, we are always on the go! No rest for this momma :-) Right now Ms. Maddie-Moo needs to nap but she is content in her jumperoo and Mr. C is running around (in his underwear and rainboots) playing dinosaurs and robots and now he is playing resturant, bring his daddy some food and brought momma some tea and a muffin. He's silly and crazy and full of imagination and I love it. Those two make my life so more meaningful and without them I don't know what I would do. Really I guess the point of this post is well...there really is no point, just wanted to let y'all know I am still around :-) Cheers!

The Computer-less Blogger

Sigh....the never ending saga of the computer-less blogger continues. I don't want to go weeks without a blog post so I've been blogging on my tablet but I have no sweet clue, none what-so-ever!! Luckily, my sweet, ah-maz-ing hubby just got new laptops at work and is starting to bring his home again on the weekends!! Yayyy. That means, currently at this very moment I am blogging from the comforts of a nice, new labtop. I wish it was mine, but (as my 2 year old would say) "Nope" it's not.

So now onto the post.....party planning. I LOVE it, I mean love with a capital L-O-V-E!! If I could I would go into party planning fulltime, but two issues with that, I love (again with the capital L-O-V-E) teaching too much and also, there really isn't a market here for it. So my son's 3rd birthday is September 30th and we'll be having his party on the Saturday before (which also happen's to be his daddy's birthday). To narrow down the theme was actually quite difficult. My kid is into everything, literally, no really....dinosaurs, super heros, scobby doo, robots, cars, trucks exterca, exterca. So I just let him pick and once it was picked it was done.

So he ended up picking dinosaurs and I thought "This is totally do-able, we should be able to find so many things dinosaur" Well I put my foot into my mouth.....last year I could find a million things dinosaur, this year not so much!! Luckily since I am the type A "over planner" I had months to find things.

Computer Chaos (among other things)...

Oh my! I tell y'all finding a new hard drive for our old Betsy is proving to be a fest. Hubby checked in store and our 'big' city (I say big in quotations because it's really not big but we're considered a city) has limited amounts. So he's checked online and there are a few, but we don't want to pay an arm and a leg for one since Betsy is 7 years old. I have so many fun projects that I've been doing around the house, bathroom, playroom etc...A few before and afters. So stay tuned for the exciting posts once this darn PC is fixed ( or I convince hubby to buy me a laptop) :-)

This isn't a fail...

I haven't forgotten about my lovely blog, not this time. I am definitely not making this my third blog to disappear into blogosphere....My darn old desktop computer has decided to take a little bit of a vacation(one that involves probably never returning) and do y'all know how hard it is to write a post from a tablet?! ( well I can tell you it's not an easy task). So hopefully hubby can get a new hard drive and fix old Betsy up so I'll be back in action. I have some great posts lined up, like some home renovations that we've completed...stay tuned!

How do other Bloggers Do it?

I don't really understand how people can do this. I want nothing more to be one of those "cool" bloggers, think Katie Bower{from Bower Power, Sherry Petersik{ from Young House Love} and Sarah Lastnameunknown{from Thrifty Decor Chick} all rolled up into one cutie package with a cherry on top ;-) I desperatly try, I really do but this whole "take pictures, upload then, type up words, be creative, yadda, yadda, yadda...." with a 2.5 year old and a 6 month old running around {well...the 6 month is actually rollin' not running, but I'm sure y'all get the picture}. I wish my mornings looked like this...calm, peaceful, me with loads of energy, near the water...ahhh...

Instead I feel my mornings are like an episode out of some crazy sitcom and while I can't think of a name of one off the top of my head at the moment, this picture sometimes sums up what I am feeling...

I'm not saying that those girls have it easy, I know they don't, they all have young children as well. I actually admire them. The fact that they can do this makes me realize that I should be able WILL be able to do this as well and that with some determination and with some lots and lots of coffee I will get it done. So thank you for your inspiration Katie, Sherry and Sarah you girls ROCK!!

Third times a charm?

I sure hope so because I have just realized that this is the third...yes, you heard me correctly THIRD blog I have attempted to start...all the other ones I have started and then forgot about or just simply didn't blog! I really want to make this one work...so heres to a successful blog...now if I can only make it look appealing.....sigh :-S

Organization 101

Organizing. Really, can we ever get enough of it. Seems that I clean the house and then all of a sudden it is messy and back to looking like a bomb hit it. Really, can anyone have a clean, neat and organized house when you have children?! I am beginning to believe that you can't (but alas I know you can, maybe it is I can't...who knows?!) All I kow is that this past week I've been on a declutting and organizing mission. I started in my basement, where I installed many new shelves to store stuff on, then I got rid of ALOT of stuff...were talking 8 large rubbermaid containers of STUFF! Crap that my husband and I have been holding onto for a reason I do not know. Next, I moved onto getting rid of even more stuff, I decluttered our closet, managed to purge 2 rubbermaid containers and yet we still seem to have our walk in closet full! At least it is full with stuff I will wear and fits me (I purged everything that was too big or too small {except for one pair of skinny jeans that in my defense do button but are just a wee too snug}. I then proceeded to move all the baby clothing that was stored in a little room off my sons room down to the basement {where now it looks like we didn't even purge anything because I added 5 large rubbermaid containers of his clothing and he is only 2.5 years old- oops} and I also have one large container filled with my daughters stuff already (just her 0-3 month clothing as she is only 5 months old).

The house is starting to take shape but it's definetly a long process, what started off as just a cleaning the basement mission has turn into a whole house decluttering session. Long overdue though and I am glad that I started.

Blog Title Help

You know when you try something and everyone says "Practice makes perfect" or "At first if you don't succeed try, try again?" Well that may be the case for everyone except me. I for the life of me can not...and I stress CAN NOT figure out how to create a blog title..I can see how I want it to look in my head but can not get it down on the page. Can anyone help me out? Even if I knew what tools I am suppose to be using, then maybe this new blogger could figure it out...

Creating the Blog!

Creating a blog to remember happy moments and the crazy ones that happen in our little house. The insane chaotic moments are the ones that we cherish and will laugh about in the years to come. I know that no one said life with children was easy, or a walk in the park but raising a soon to be 3 year old and a soon to be 5 month old definetly has its moments. The house may look a mess, my hair might not get brushed but it's all worth it. I read somewhere that a messy house is a happy house and I believe that. It is all the mess that help the little ones make their memories.
